It really does doesn’t it….it’s the perfect place to stay in nature and escape from everything.

It doesn’t look very rustic! Soft, pretty colors in this landscape at this time of year, and the sky reflected in the fens.

The Fens are lovely – but walking through it sounds a bit challenging … but then again, with a hot chocolate like that, I would be up for it any day! Pure nature – I loved this post!

Ahhh I’ve got a post in my queue dedicated entirely to Fens as I live on one, so lots more Fen info coming your way soon 🙂 Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment.

You’re so right, it is a change for me – just walking in nature and not actually aiming to see a building or something. It was very peaceful though and a nice calm feeling to have a huge area of woodland all to yourself and not see any other people. My husband jokes that I am a ‘warbling rambler’ because I talk so much as we walk he can’t enjoy the peace and quiet, hehe!

It’s so true, and we did too – so many paths and trails to explore which make for a perfect mental break over the weekends.

Aw thanks Helen, that’s really kind of you to say- I love exploring the lesser known corners of England as well. The horses were special that’s for sure 🙂

Yes we are very lucky to have it all close by, England’s countryside really is beautiful to explore. I agree on the log cabin – I live too close to be able to justify it but maybe one day 🙂
