RMIT’s central Mentoring team hold this workshop each year for participants in the Women@RMIT mentoring program.
There are 10 places remaining for female students who are not yet part of industry mentoring (Even if you have not yet joined – join now! https://mentoring.rmit.edu.au/p/p3/about). First in first served.
RMIT has receive excellent feedback from the workshop each time – the presenter is Teagan Dowler from a group called “The Blue Collared Woman”. She is young and dynamic and as she has many years of experience within the mining sector.
The workshop starts with a personality profiling exercise to help the students understand their personal preferences – hence the title “iAware”. Teagan then helps the students identify the best techniques and approaches to quickly establish credibility with others – especially male work colleagues (and fellow male students).
