4D Planning – Melbourne Metro RIA Case Study & Guest Lecture

I had the pleasure to host a special guest lecture by Peter Yavari in my Managing Complex Projects course on Friday 10th May. In this event, Peter, 4D Lead at CPB Contractors presented the application of 4D in Melbourne Metro Rail Infrastructure Alliance (RIA) Project.

Peter shared his invaluable experience & knowledge regarding adoption of 4D in highly sensitive & complex infrastructure projects. He also introduced the concept and principals of 4D and demonstrated the benefits of 4D modelling as the digital twin of the project.

Peter is a construction professional with extensive knowledge and experience in both construction planning and digital engineering which creates the perfect skill set for 4D planning. During his nine years of experience, he has tried his hand in a spectrum of construction specialities from design to site engineer and planner. As the lead 4D planner at CPB Contractors, forming part of the Rail Infrastructure Alliance, Peter has developed efficient workflows and innovative applications for 4D, which has resulted in tangible benefits for the project in the fields of safety, communication & methodology development.
