Dr Steven McCann (RMIT PCPM 2014 PhD Graduate) is a contractor specialising in strategic policy development, focusing on both asset and risk management. He has significant experience working in large and complex operating environments and has developed a reputation as a trusted advisor to executive government on a wide range of issues. He is an accredited Gateway Reviewer, a Certified Procurement Professional (Manager) and a Certified Risk Management Technician. He has served as a director on a number of not-for-profit boards as well as being a member of a technical committee for reviewing the draft ISO CD 20400 international sustainable procurement standard. Steven was recently responsible for developing the asset management framework for a prominent Victorian Government department and is currently engaged to design the performance evaluation framework for a significant public private partnership. In late 2014, he completed doctoral research on improving governance arrangements for public private partnerships at the School of Property, Construction and Project Management at RMIT University under the supervision of Dr Guillermo Aranda-Mena and Dr Peter Edwards.
