Congratulations to Dr. Nawaf Alshanbri, RMIT Property, Construction and Project Management PhD Candidate who recently completed and passed his Doctor of Philosophy. Dr Alshanbri’s topic was “Investigating the role of Knowledge Management and Human Resources Management in assisting the employee replacement process: the case of Saudi Arabia’s new localisation program “Nitaqat””. He completed his doctoral studies under the supervision of Assoc. Prof Tayyab Maqsood and Assoc. Prof. Malik Khalfan. Dr Alshanbri investigated the role of Knowledge Management/Human Resources Management in assisting the employee replacement process. He studied the Saudi Arabia’s localisation program “Nitaqat” and developed strategies to equip Human Resource Managers to retain the knowledge that may be lost when employees are replaced as a result of the new localisation program “Nitaqat”.
Dr Alshanbri states “In every step through my PhD journey there was always one quote in my mind “Just don’t give up trying to do what you really want to do” by Ella Fitzgerald and I did not give up.”
