Women Building Futures: Careers in Property, Construction and Project Management

RMIT School of Property, Construction and Project Management will be hosting a new event to celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8 2016. More information on the event will be provided in the new year but we ask all students, staff, alumni and industry partners to save the date. The event will be held between 12pm and 2pm located at the RMIT City Campus in the Alumni Courtyard which is situated between the Old Melbourne Gaol and the Watchtower.

Who: Current RMIT students studying programs from the School of Property,  Construction and Project Management; Industry Partners; Professional Industry Bodies; RMIT Property, Construction and Project Management Staff and guests from local High Schools.

Where: Alumni Courtyard, RMIT City Campus, 367 Russell Street Melbourne, VIC 3000

When: International Women’s Day – Tuesday 8 March 2016, 12pm – 2pm

Why: To celebrate Women in Property, Construction and Project Management careers. To educate and facilitate discussion on what these fields involve and how women can build a career in what has historically been a male-dominated industry. To encourage more females to take up study and work in these industries and to celebrate those who have and their success.

What: 

• A presentation and panel discussion by notable special guests (to be announced in 2016)
• Luncheon and networking opportunities
• Professional Industry Body booths – register using the RSVP form or email employerofchoicepcpm@rmit.edu.au to find out more
• Women@RMIT – Industry mentoring launch – sign up with the mentoring team on site and be matched straight away with a mentor or mentee in your field
• Program booths – speak to the staff about the programs we offer and opportunities to study at RMIT
• Speak to Careers Counsellors, RMIT Employment Services and Employer of Choice staff
• Your organisation can be involved in sponsoring our show bags – provide marketing collateral gifts for University and High school students interested in careers in Property and Valuation, Construction Management and Project Management – register using the RSVP form or email employerofchoicepcpm@rmit.edu.au to find out more
• Learn more about careers in Property and Valuation, Construction Management, Sustainability, the Built Environment and Project Management
