School of Property, Construction & Project Management

Study tour to China

Students from the Construction Management programme from the School of Property Construction and Project Management saw first hand the scale of building and construction in China. The objective of the study tour was to visit construction sites in China and to understand how thermal comfort and sustainability were perceived by the Chinese. Students commenced their tour in Beijing, then travelled to Xuzhou ending the trip in Shanghai. In Xuzhou, students had the opportunity to meet and interact with students and staff from the International College of China University of Mining and Technology. RMIT students from the Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) (Hons) program also worked alongside students from the Bachelor of Engineering (Major in Building Environment and Equipment Engineering). The students also had a friendly basket ball match, where RMIT students won the match by one point. Most of the CUMT students are expected to join RMIT mid year 2017.
